SS 321 Sheets & Plates provide intergranular corrosion and can be hardened only by cold working. Stainless Steel 321H Coils is then quench-annealed as rapidly as possible generally in clean water, but thin sections can be air cooled, this being necessary to suppress any re-formation of chromium carbide which would occur if the material was allowed to slow cool in the furnace etc. They also have higher creep and stress rupture properties compare to other alloys. Stainless steel 321 plates also offer good low-temperature toughness and superior strength. These 321H plates also used in diluted organic acid at medium temperatures.
